BAIR Symposium on AI, Public Policy, and National Security

The Center for Security in Politics (CSP), Berkeley Artificial Intelligence Research Lab (BAIR), Berkeley Risk and Security Lab (BRSL), and Center for Human-Compatible Artificial Intelligence (CHAI) hosted a Symposium on AI, Public Policy, and National Security at UC Berkeley this past fall. The Symposium brought together U.S. government officials from the Department of Homeland Security, FBI, and state elected leaders from international consulates to convene alongside public and private industry, academia and emerging researchers from UC Berkeley to tackle the With the increasingly present force of technologies and artificial intelligence, the event focused on exploring the intersection between this growing technology and public policy in order to ensure strong national security.
